Due to continued growth of Arrow Global we have a fantastic opportunity for an Information Security Engineer to join the Group.

The Information Security Engineer will play a key role within Arrow’s 1st line information security function managing core technical security controls, securing infrastructures, and supporting the technical response to incidents.

The role’s primary purpose is to ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of information processed by Arrow Group and Group companies, responsible for technical cyber security operations across the Group.

The role will be based at our Manchester office combined with home working.

Due to the current Pandemic this will initially be a home-based role.

The role will require occasional travel across all our European offices (Post pandemic restrictions).

What will you be doing? Manage critical security controls (i.e.

web and email, MDM, AV, IdAM) Management of the Incident Detection & Response process in conjunction with multiple 3rd party service providers, e.g.

SOC/MSSP Manage of the end to end vulnerability management lifecycle and engaging with IT Operations teams to executive resolution activity Coordinate and managing PEN Testing activity alongside third party vendors Manage the Groups infrastructure security, including LAN, WAN, and public facing websites and customer portals Design and deploy security solutions, liaising with various business stakeholders including IT and Operations to ensure security requirements are captured during change initiatives and development cycles Management of user access reviews and super user audits, engaging with IT Operations to ensure timely completion and outputs End to end management of relationships with 3rd party security vendors Investigate suspected and actual security incidents in accordance with the security incident management standard, produce reports with recommendations, and support any remediation activity required In the event of a data breach, lead the technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage, preparing management reports Act as the Information Security lead on technical security for projects, providing subject matter expertise and technical knowledge in the areas of information security to Arrow Maintain knowledge of emerging security trends, risks, new guidance or standards (internal and external), and security enhancing technologies Is this you? Track record within a technical security role with significant experience working with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, authentication systems, log management, and security content filtering tools – email and web Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures Experience of working within or alongside an MSSP or Cyber SOC Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications Able to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software and able to learn quickly and apply technical learning accurately Experience of business transformation and change Proven track record of innovative creative thinking to solve business problems.

Logical and analytical approach to problem solving Good communication, influencing skills and confident in communicating with stakeholders both internal and external both written and verbal Self-motivated and an ability to lead on the end to end delivery of projects Ability to synthesise complex ideas and analytical results and then present these in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical stakeholders Effective prioritisation and organisational skills, ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Educated to degree level in Information Security/Computer Science/Software Engineering/ Information Management Systems or related professional experience Professional certification such as CISSP, CEH or other relevant information security credentials Why Arrow Global?
